Bespoke Watercolour Commissions: House Portraits, Landscapes & Special Places
Whether it’s a treasured family home, a favourite coastal view, or a landscape that holds a special memory, I undertake custom watercolour commissions for clients across Dublin, Ireland, and internationally.
From architectural house portraits to breathtaking mountains, beaches, and countryside locations, I work closely with you to transform your favourite places into timeless, hand-painted artwork.
WHAT YOU CAN COMMISSION
- House & Building Portraits: Celebrate your home’s character or capture a childhood residence.
- Landscapes & Nature: A favourite mountain hike, local park, forest trail, or scenic countryside.
- Coastal & Marine Scenes: Beaches, harbour views, or coastal walks that hold personal meaning.
- Streetscapes & Landmarks: A beloved Dublin street corner, café, or memorable travel location.
THE PROCESS
Commissioning a painting is a simple, collaborative journey:
- Initial Consultation: Share your ideas, photographs, or location details. Whether you have exact photos or just a specific location in mind, we will discuss the mood, lighting, and composition.
- Sketch & Approval: I will email an initial pencil sketch to agree on the perspective and general layout before painting begins.
- Painting & Delivery: Once approved, your piece is painted in my studio using professional-grade watercolour paints and archival watercolour paper, then securely shipped to your door.
PRICES & FRAMING
Starting Price: €500 for a standard 30x40cm watercolour.
What’s Included: This price includes the initial consultation and a photoshoot (if the location is in or around the Dublin area).
Framing: I can also organise framing. My standard choice is a simple wooden limed frame with a high-quality mount, as seen in the example at the top of this page. For a 30x40cm size painting the price for framing would be €75.
TIMELINE
Most commissions are completed within 2-3 weeks, making them perfect for special gifts, anniversaries, or wedding presents.
