CAPTURE THE CHARACTER OF YOUR HOME
Custom house portrait is a wonderful way to celebrate a home’s character and history. By commissioning a watercolour painting of your house or street, you are creating a treasured keepsake that will be valued for years to come.
I can work directly from your own photographs if they are suitable. Alternatively, for clients in the Dublin area, I can visit the location for an on-site photography shoot. This ensures we find the best possible angles and light to represent the property at its very best.
UNIQUE ATHMOSPHERE
My architectural watercolours often include the surrounding life of a street—neighbouring houses, cars, people walking, or children playing. This approach captures the true atmosphere of the place, making your original artwork truly unique and personal.
THE PROCESS
Commissioning a painting is a simple, collaborative journey:
- Consultation: Share your photo or idea, and we will discuss the mood, size, and specific requirements for your piece.
- Sketch & Approval: I will email an initial pencil sketch for you to review. This allows us to agree on the perspective and general composition before painting begins.
- Painting & Delivery: Once approved, the final watercolour painting is completed in my studio and securely shipped to your door.
PRICES & FRAMING
Starting Price: €500 for a standard 30x40cm watercolour.
What’s Included: This price includes the initial consultation and a photoshoot (if the location is in or around the Dublin area).
Framing: I can also organise framing. My standard choice is a simple wooden limed frame with a high-quality mount, as seen in the example at the top of this page. For a 30x40cm size painting the price for framing would be €75.
TIMELINE
Most commissions are completed within 2-3 weeks, making them perfect for special gifts, anniversaries, or wedding presents.
